Eastward - Octopia is a premium adventure game coming from developer Pixpil. It is a new DLC for the popular pixel RPG, Eastward. In it, players will join the game's dynamic duo as they embark on a new journey through a parallel universe.

Much like the core Eastward game, this new Eastwar - Octopia DLC retains the original's charming pixel graphics. At the center of it all is a heart-warming story of an unlikely pair who form a bond and take on any of the trials and surprises that life can bring.

A warm and sublime reprieve

Eastward - Octopia takes place in an alternate universe in the titular town of Octopia. Sam and John return for an all-new adventure and take on a new challenge, farming. The two buy a rundown cottage, and it's up to them to transform it into a place they can call home. To start, plant crops, take care of animals, and hit the local lake and fish.

All that farm will build up quite a hunger, so check John's Big Cookbook for all kinds of scrumptious recipes to try out. It's not just your home that needs some help, though, as multiple areas like an abandoned theme park could use sprucing up. Help revitalize the town and help people to get back on their feet again and turn into a thriving community once again.

Speaking of people, you will get to meet various characters, both new and old. All kinds of personalities will come from afar, and you can get to know them through the bonding power of sharing a meal together. Though it’s a DLC, its contents make it more of an expansion of Eastward. Remember that you need to have the base game in order to play this game.

A nice change of pace

All in all, Eastward - Octopia is a nice change of pace from the original game's more serious tone. Instead, be prepared to experience a warm and relaxing new adventure as you carve out your place in the world and be part of a community. Farm, interact, have fun, but most importantly, enjoy the ride. Watch for this game when it releases.
